The Olympic Games

The history of the modern Olympics is full of anecdotes. We can safely assume that ancient Olymipc games were also full of them, but we do not have many contemporary sources and they may be contaminated by legend.

Once, in a racing Olympic competition, the athlete who came second arrived immediately after the penultimate runner. How did it happen? What was special about that run?
